Park-Life.org’s inaugural lunch for local folk took place at Ida on 13 May. Any initial concerns about potential Freemasonry were dispelled on arrival as Kensal Rise’s entrepreneurial set sat down to a bargain three-course lunch without a single funny handshake… A bit of bruschetta, some homemade lasagna and tiramisu among locals on a Thursday.
Fashionistas, journos, DJs/music producers, event organisers, PRs, TV presenters, yogis and even an accountant (me) were in attendance proving that QP and the Rise are indeed recession-proof. Business cards swapped hands, ideas were exchanged and conversation flowed even when I was asked what I did for a living. (Actually to the credit of the charming ladies on my table, that is a lie.)

We look forward to the next lazy lunch hour…
