Let’s get busy at Izzy Jones

Have you discovered the fabulous children’s shop called Izzy Jones on Kilburn Lane yet? Not only do they sell delightful children’s clothes and toys, but they also have a creative studio where people can drop in and get arts and crafting…

Open Monday to Saturday 10am–6pm and Sunday 11am–5pm.

Drop-in sessions Pick arty items to decorate, such as wooden boxes, papier-mâché animals and canvasses of all sizes. There are also regular arty and music workshops for little ones throughout the holidays – so book in from half-term now. Simply pay for the item of your choice and a £6 studio fee and they provide the tools, materials and embellishments you need

Porcelain mugs and birdhouses, wooden maracas, clocks – we stopped by with our little monsters for a special session to make some monsters in material too.

HALF-TERM Wednesday 26 October –Camera Obscura Workshop
10.30am–12.30pm for ages 7–11 years, £20 includes juice and a snack.

Children will be taught the basics of the photographic process through this fun and exciting workshop. They will have the opportunity to make their own Camera Obscura from recycled materials, and will be able to experiment with camera-less photography techniques.
